The Curling Bar
In addition to our two fantastic curling rinks, we have Norway's finest and friendliest clubhouse, with its own curling bar! Curling is a social sport that’s all about being together, even off the ice. The clubhouse serves as a warming room, meeting spot, and café/bar. In Canada and Scotland, this is a natural and important part of the sport, and we try to live by these values.
There’s nothing quite as pleasant as talking curling before and after games and training.
RENTAL / PARTY VENUE
The curling bar is a place to relax before and after your curling session, but it can also be rented separately for private parties, meetings, and other gatherings for 1500 NOK per hour, including a host from us. We do not have a liquor license and do not serve alcohol, but we offer coffee, soda, and simple snacks. If you wish to bring your own drinks (alcohol), this is possible but must be arranged in advance, and only for private events. The bar has a capacity of approximately 30-40 people. You can play darts, Crokinole, and other pub games here. The bar can be rented alone or in conjunction with curling events.
The bar is filled with small and large details from the last 60-70 years of curling history at Bygdøy. Over 1,000 items have been carefully curated and hung on the walls. Soul and charm in every corner.
We also have an enormous collection of curling pennants from around the world.
In the café, we offer waffles, sausages, nuts, coffee, tea, and soda.
We also have a seating area where you can enjoy stronger drinks.
Before every event, we offer curling lessons in the traditional way. We’ve also got good darts and a brand-new dartboard.
OOOOONEHUNDREEDANDEEEIGTHYY!
From the bar, there’s a great view of the rinks, and you can follow the action, even at the other end, where we have monitors showing the score at the other side.
